Thanks to this bad weather we've had recently, today was the first time I was able to ride this week. I think I need to get a trainer or rollers, because I can't keep taking rest days every time there's bad weather.

Anyways, today I went straight out Route 20, with the intention of going to go Koshu. About 15 kilometers past Otsuki, Route 20 goes through a long, narrow tunnel which isn't safe to ride in. Instead, I headed over Sasago Pass. The climb was mostly clear of snow, and even dry in places, but towards the top there were a couple of stretches of snow that I could ride through easily. Unfortunately, since climbing the pasr took a while, I decided to turn back after reaching the top. While I couldn't make it to central Koshu, there was a sign on the other side of the pass marking the Koshu city limits, so I guess I can say I made it that far at least.
